CAI-CLAC serves as the legislative advocacy arm for the eight state chapters of the Community Associations Institute, a membership organization providing information, education and resources to homeowner volunteers who serve communities and the professionals who support them in 63 chapters worldwide.
Each year, CAI-CLAC sponsors bills that will significantly enhance the lives of those living and working in any of California’s 50,000 common interest developments. Our volunteers work closely with Advocate, Louie Brown, to monitor legislation throughout each session, maintaining communications with legislators and Capitol staff to ensure CAI-CLAC input is considered. We also educate and rally members in support of pro-community association bills and in opposition to legislation that may pose negative impacts.
