One of the key issues being addressed by CAI-CLAC members in Sacramento April 8-9 will be Senate Bill 721 (Hill).

If passed, this legislation would add expensive, unnecessary and duplicative inspections and maintenance for balconies and elevated walkways in all California common interest developments. The bill passed the Senate and will be heard in the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee in May.

We need to ensure that members of the Assembly hear from us long before that hearing, starting on Legislative Day at the Capitol. You can learn details of this bill by clicking here and typing in SB 721 in the Bill Number field.
