October 1st, 2018 marks the beginning of the California Legislative Action Committee (CLAC) Executive Committee’s 2018-2019 term. CAI-CLAC is a volunteer committee of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) consisting of homeowners and professionals serving community associations.
The CAI-CLAC Executive Committee is dedicated to safeguard and improve community association living and property values by advocating a reasonable balance between state statutory requirements and individual homeowners to govern themselves through their community associations.
“The CAI-CLAC executive committee is committed to working together with our chapters, delegates and liaisons to ensure community associations continue to be the preferred place to call home,” says Laura Ravazza, PR Chair of the Community Associations Institute California Legislative Action Committee (CAI-CLAC). “We look forward to our another successful year protecting the interests of homeowners.”

More About CAI-CLAC
The CAI-CLAC Delegate committee will be meeting later this month at the CAI-CLAC Annual Planning Meeting (APM) to discuss the 2019 Legislative Agenda. If you have ideas about changes needing to be made to California law, please send your suggestions to office@caiclac.com. We want to hear from you.
CAI is the largest advocacy organization in America dedicated to monitoring legislation, educating elected state lawmakers, and protecting the interests of those living in community associations in California. CAI authorizes, encourages, and fosters the formation of Legislative Action Committees (LACs) to represent the interests of CAI members with respect to state and local legislation and regulatory activities.
CAI-CLAC is currently comprised of two CAI member delegates from each of California’s eight CAI chapters; these members are selected at the chapter level.
In addition to these delegates, there are currently five at-large delegates from around the state. Each chapter is authorized one liaison whose responsibility it is to communicate CAI-CLAC’s activities to their chapter members.
